The O-ring is a circular cross-section seal. It is made by vulcanization in a finished form tool. It is used for static seals, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, and it is also possible to use it for piston, rotary, and circular motions.
It is used in various industries: hydraulic, pneumatic, armature industry, automotive and many others. O-rings can be made of different materials and can be of different hardness depending on the pressure, type of sealing and surface quality of the machine parts.
For standard applications, the recommended hardness is 70ShA.
Circular cross-section material that can be cut to the required length. It can be made of various types of rubber mixtures, such as NBR, EPDM, VMQFPM (viton). Different hardness fabrication is possible.
"X" rings are double-acting four-lipped seals of approximately square cross-section.
Sealing is performed due to the pressure of the medium. X-rings are most commonly used for dynamic seals, as they need a smaller contact surface than the O-ring, which makes them more wear resistant.
